TECHNOLOGIES
Non-folding casing - a durable and elastic rubber compound provides long-lasting riding pleasure. A sturdy 60 TPI nylon body ensures maximum service life. A firm wire bead guarantees that the tire sits securely on the rim. For ambitious amateur athletes, it is an affordable alternative to Continental BlackChili and PureGrip tires.
Suitable for electric bikes. When developing our e-bike tires, we draw on more than 100 years of experience gained in producing moped and motorcycle tires. All Continental city/touring tires are designed to ride at a standard speed of at least 25 km/h. Tires marked E-50 are also certified for use with S-pedelecs. The high-quality construction ensures strong puncture protection without increasing rolling resistance and protects against premature wear.
PureGrip compound is made from an activated silica compound and is a good example of how we continuously incorporate customer feedback into our research and development. This compound technology pairs perfectly with the BlackChili Compound. The name PureGrip says exactly what it does - the outstanding properties of this compound are exceptional grip and durability.
