Steel construction of the Gerber multi-tool
The Gerber Suspension is a 108 mm multi-tool made entirely of steel. The skeletonized handle design reduces the tool's weight and gives it a modern look. Stainless steel resists corrosion, weather exposure and contaminants, so the Gerber Suspension can perform in virtually any conditions.
The manufacturer avoided lightweight aluminum, so the tool is durable and safely withstands the heavy loads created when prying, tightening and cutting. The multi-tool features a classic butterfly design, meaning you access the tools by opening the handles.
Spring-loaded pliers on the Suspension NXT multi-tool
The main tool is a set of spring-loaded pliers with narrow (needle-nose) tips, best suited for precision work. Thanks to the spring-loaded design, the pliers are comfortable to use with one hand, since releasing pressure lets the jaws open on their own.
The pliers include a built-in wire and cable cutter, a serrated notch and cross cutters that improve grip on the object.
