Folded mats with a profiled surface have a higher thermal resistance (2.2) with the same material thickness, provide greater comfort and take up less space when packed. Great thermal comfort is further enhanced by the fact that on one side of the mat is an Al layer, which reflects the heat radiated from the sleeping bag back. It is used with an Al layer for a sleeping bag. The material has a closed cell structure and a smooth surface, so it does not absorb water.
