Benchmade 537GY-1 Bailout is a very light and durable tactical knife from the "black class" series, equipped with a CPM-M4 powder steel tanto blade, an aluminum hammer and aggressively textured 6061-T6 aluminum cladding.

Perfect for everyday use

The Benchmade Bailout 537GY-1 is a military style EDC knife, accentuated by a blackened tanto blade and military colors of the woodland green cladding. The knife uses an 86 mm blade with a Japanese tanto profile, made of high quality CPM-M4 tool steel.

The shape of the blade used ensures increased strength of the tip while maintaining high cutting efficiency.

The blade was covered with a gray DLC coating, which has a very high abrasion resistance, and also protects the steel against corrosion. The blade can be conveniently unfolded with one hand thanks to the use of a double-sided pin (made of anodized aluminum), thus enabling comfortable use of the knife by right and left-handed people.

Premium steel blade

The new model 537GY-1 Bailout has a blade made of high-carbon CPM-M4 tool steel hardened to a hardness of 62-64 HRC. Due to the high content of molybdenum, vanadium and tungsten, the high level of carbon has been balanced, which results in excellent sharpness and enormous hardness.

Sharpening such steel is difficult and time-consuming, you should also remember to maintain the blade regularly. In return, however, the user receives a tool whose aggressive cutting and extremely long maintenance of the working sharpness perfectly compensate for the aforementioned inconveniences.

Proven lock

The blade lock is, of course, Axis-lock, the flagship mechanism of the Benchmade brand, valued for its great resistance to loads, resistance to dirt and ease of use. The double-sided lever can be conveniently operated with the left or right hand.

Military handle

Thanks to the linings made of aviation aluminum 6061-T6, the design of the knife is extremely light (76 g) and much more durable. Aggressive texturing of the handle and its widening at the base ensure a secure grip of the knife during work.

The wide clip with the option of translating (left / right) also allows you to carry the knife in a pocket or tactical gear. The handle is finished with an aluminum insert with a tungsten carbide shank, which can act as a hammer punch tool or as an emergency glass breaker.
