Zero Tolerance ZT 0357BW is a versatile everyday knife, which uses the excellent CPM-20CV stainless steel, a mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade, profiled G-10 cladding and a proven liner-lock blockade.
Premium stainless steel
The 83 mm long head is made of CPM-S20V powder steel, hardened to a hardness of 59-61 HRC. CPM-S20V is a "supersteel" with properties and specifications similar to the exclusive Bohler M390 stainless steel.
Due to the high content of chromium and a large amount of vanadium carbides, it is characterized by exceptionally good corrosion and wear resistance, and a very long sharpness retention.
When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and ineffective.
The wide blade with a usable drop-point profile has a matte Blackwashed finish. Black oxidation gives an effective look and partially protects against scratches created during use.
Thanks to the use of a strong tip and a flat cut, the blade perfectly penetrates and provides very good cutting properties.
The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 4 mm, which guarantees resistance to damage and allows it to be used for heavier work. On the spine of the blade there are transverse cutters that create a very stable support for the thumb or index finger.
Convenient unfolding
The blade is unfolded with one hand using a milled flipper, a convenient solution for both right and left-handed users.
A mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade
The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe support mechanism. When you press the pinball blade, the support mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically unfolds the blade, making the knife ready for use in a fraction of a second.
Such functionality makes everyday use of the knife comfortable and gives a lot of satisfaction.
Non-slip grip
The knife has G-10 laminate cladding attached to steel liners, which are responsible for the rigidity and strength of the structure. The glass-epoxy laminate used is characterized by low weight, high mechanical strength, resistance to water, temperature changes, and the action of many acids and solvents.
The profiled shape of the handle, the undercut for the finger and fine surface texturing, make the knife very firm and comfortable in the hand, which is especially important when working harder.
Foldable clip
Moving the knife during everyday activities is possible thanks to the high-mounted clip, which can be attached in 2 positions, i.e. on the right or left side of the lining. In the rear part of the handle there is a hole for attaching the paracord braid.
