The "Lansky Arkansas LBS8S" is a large, fine-grit sharpening stone designed for polishing and final honing of knives and all kinds of workshop and household tools.
Arkansas stone from North America is characterized by very fine grain, high hardness and density, making it a prized material for sharpening knives.
Sharpening on an Arkansas stone takes time, but the cutting edge stays sharp much longer.
The sharpener consists of a hard polymer base and a soft, fine stone. The rubberized base prevents the sharpener from sliding on the table, and thanks to the holes it can also be permanently mounted to a tabletop.
