TheLansky Tri-Stone Benchstone BS-TR100 is an all-purpose handheld sharpener that features 3 versatile sharpening surfaces in the form of a 120-grade diamond plate, a 240-grade alumina stone and a 1000-grade ceramic.
TheLansky Tri-Stone Benchstone BS-TR100 is a stationary sharpener that allows you to perform both blade repair and full spectrum knife sharpening.
The sharpener is formed by a polymer base with a rubber, non-slip base and a removable module with three sharpening surfaces. The whetstone can be used for quick sharpening, rebuilding the cutting edge and proper sharpening of low, medium and higher hardened blades.
Sharpening surfaces:
- diamond plate with a gradation of 120, used for rebuilding a damaged cutting edge and changing the profile of the grind
- alumina oxide (aluminum oxide) with a gradation of 240, a stone for sharpening proper
- ceramic stone with a gradation of 1000, is dedicated to smoothing the cutting edge
Sharpening "by hand" requires some practice, so the Lansky Tri-Stone Benchstone BS-TR100 sharpener is recommended rather for people who already have experience in this type of sharpening.
