It is worth noting that the tungsten carbide slit sharpener allows sharpening to a convex grind, which creates a very strong cutting edge and generates little resistance when cutting.
The convex grind provides excellent cutting properties and, without the use of a special sharpener, requires a lot of skill from the user.
