The attachment is characterized by a solid polymer-metal construction, resistant to overloads arising during grinding and modeling the blade. The attachment connects to the sharpener without the need for tools. Replacing abrasive belts is also a simple and quick operation that we can do ourselves.
The attachment can use abrasive belts of various grades with a size of 25.4 x 457 mm. Belt tension is controlled by a system of 4 rollers, adjustable from 10 ° to 35 ° (with an accuracy of 1 °).
The belt speed, depending on the type of activity, can be set in the range of 1200-2800 SFM (square foot per minute). The position of the central transport roller can be changed, which allows you to adjust the tension (height) of the abrasive belt depending, for example, on the type of knife grinding.
The Blade Grinding Attachment increases the already high functionality of the Ken Onion Edition sharpener, allowing for additional grinding, changing the blade profile and polishing, without the need to purchase an additional, expensive device.
