Light as a feather
The body of the Fenix E20 V2.0 flashlight is made of hardened aluminum, subjected to the HA-III hard anodizing process, making the flashlight's tube and head resistant to scratches, abrasion and mechanical damage.
Having reduced the flashlight's dimensions by 27 mm, it is more manageable and comfortable to use. After the upgrade, the flashlight weighs only 42 g, which is about the weight of an 18650 cell.
The milled aluminum surface improves grip and prevents the flashlight from slipping from the hand. The flashlight is operated by a rear switch, responsible for activating the light and for changing modes. A steel, removable clip allows the flashlight to be attached to a belt, pocket or backpack.
Wide and far
The light source is a powerful SST20 LED, which in high mode emits a stream of 350 lumens with a brightness of 3950 candelas and a range of 126 meters. The light is evenly and widely dispersed thanks to a patented collimating lens with Al + UV coating.
The collimator, which is only 3 mm thick, minimizes light loss and provides an efficient beam as wide as 85°. The user can choose from 4 light modes: eco, low, medium and high. A useful feature is the use of eco light often referred to as "moonlight" with a flux of 1 lumen.
In this mode the flashlight can operate for up to 200 hours. Such a small glow is enough, to discreetly illuminate a purse, hip kidney or open a door lock.
Popular sticks
To power the flashlight you get two AA alkaline batteries, which can be replaced by Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. The advantage of such a power supply is its easy availability, low cost and light weight.
One switch
The flashlight is operated by a rear switch, which is responsible for activating/deactivating the light and changing modes (with a half-click). The simple interface, combined with the one-handed rear button , increase the comfort of daily use.
Security features
The flashlight uses several safety systems, including reverse polarity protection, low voltage warning and "smart protection" against overheating.
The flashlight's high IP68 rating makes it resistant to total immersion in water (to a depth of 2 meters), dust and dirt, and falling.
TheFenix E20 V2.0 is a lightweight and handy flashlight with an efficient light output, which is great for everyday use, as part of edc gear or as a backup flashlight.
The parameters shown were obtained under laboratory conditions. During testing, an Eneloop 1900 mAh battery and high-quality alkaline batteries were used.
