The Camshaft Valve 1375 model is a pocket folder for everyday use, which belongs to a line of inexpensive knives with a modern design, made of 4Cr14 steel and equipped with the SpeedSafe system responsible for supporting the opening of the blade.
Proven steel
The small blade, 57 mm long, is made of solid 4Cr14 steel hardened to a hardness of 55–57 HRC. This Chinese stainless steel has a high corrosion resistance and maintains sharpness for a relatively short time, which, however, perfectly compensates for the ease and speed of sharpening.
Such properties of steel mean that Kershaw Valve 1375 is intended for less demanding users and people who are just starting their adventure with outdoor and EDC issues.
Handy size, lightness and excellent usability make this clever knife perfect for everyday use, without ruining our wallet.
Functional blade
The wide blade with a usable drop-point profile has a stonewashed matte finish (bathing in abrasive stones), which effectively masks minor scratches or abrasions of the blade caused during use.
Thanks to the use of a strong point, a concave cut and a cutting edge with a gentle curvature, the knife has good cutting and penetrating properties, and the blade does not get stuck in the material being cut.
The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 2.8 mm, which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work. Transverse cutters made on the spine of the blade allow for a stable support of the fingers during work.
The design of the knife uses small decorative accents in the form of a black oxidized pivot, a sandblasted clip and a FRN backspacer (glass fiber reinforced nylon).
Convenient operation
The blade is unfolded with one hand using a milled flipper, a convenient solution for both right and left-handed users. This convenient method of opening the blade makes the use of the knife extremely convenient and easy.
A mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade
The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe support mechanism. When you press down on the pinball fin or pry the pin, the support mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically unfolds the blade, making the knife ready for use in a fraction of a second.
Robust lock
The monolithic frame-lock blockade, considered to be one of the most durable locking mechanisms, effectively protects against accidental folding of the blade. The lock, like the flipper, can be operated with one hand.
Carrying clip
Discreet carrying of the knife in a pocket is facilitated by a high-mounted clip.
Ergonomic linings
The handle of the knife is made of stainless steel cladding, delicately profiled to the hand. Thanks to the sandblasting method, the entire structure of the knife has a very elegant and refined appearance.
