A classic and extremely lightweight model from the French company Opinel, which has been producing knives for more than 100 years. The thin blade with a flat grind is made of carbon steel, characterized by easy sharpening and long sharpness retention. Since carbon steel requires a little more care, it should be thoroughly dried and wiped with olive oil after each use - following this simple tip, will protect our blade from rust.
The beech wood handle is superbly contoured and provides a firm, pleasant grip. Blade locking is provided by a swivel ring, patented in 1955 under the name virobloc.
This knife is an excellent item for people who appreciate tradition, functionality and simplicity, and is a great idea for an inexpensive, original gift.
