Benchmade 5700SBK Auto Presidio II is an automatic version of the iconic tactical knife, equipped with a partially serrated blade made of CPM-S30V powder steel, aluminum cladding , and 2 locks.
Premium grade steel
The 94 mm long drop-point head is made of premium steel CPM-S30V hardened to a hardness of 58-60 HRC . American powder steel is especially valued for its resistance to corrosion, wear (high impact strength) and long maintenance of working sharpness .
When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very time-consuming and ineffective. The blade is covered with a matte black coating, which partially protects the blade from scratching and gives it a tactical look.
Combo blade
Perfectly sharp cutting edge , strong point and concave cut ensure aggressive cutting and good penetration. The partially serrated blade makes it easier to cut hard (e.g. plastic and bone) and fibrous materials (ropes, belts, bands) .

Spring assist
The blade can be conveniently and quickly unfolded with one hand using the double-sided lock slider, thanks to which the knife is ready for work in no time. The Auto Axis-lock mechanism is responsible for work safety, valued for its high mechanical strength, resistance to dirt and ease of use.
The knife has an additional lock that protects against accidental unfolding of the blade while carrying it.
Light and durable linings
The anodized aluminum cladding has a profiled shape that widens at the base of the blade, thus creating a natural crossguard . This prevents the hand from sliding off the blade and provides a fulcrum for the fingers.
The oblique cutters emphasize the tactical character and ensure a secure grip of the knife both with a bare hand and in a glove. Discreet carrying of the knife in a pocket is possible thanks to a high-mounted clip that can be moved to the other side.
