THE EDGE bushSHARP is a multifunctional travel sharpener that, thanks to its compact size, is a perfect addition to an EDC kit of any outdoor and survival enthusiast. The sharpener easily fits into any pocket, it has a lightweight polymer body and a rope/key-ring slot. What sets THE EDGE bushSHARP sharpener apart is its versatility. One portable sharpener can sharpen smooth and serrated knife blades, scissors, fishing hooks and hunting knives with hooked blades. Despite its small size, the sharpener is equipped with 3 sharpening zones:

• detachable diamond rod for sharpening smooth and serrated knives, fishing hooks and gut hooks,
• V-type sharpener with ceramic rods for quick sharpening and honing,
• V-type tungsten carbide sharpener for sharpening scissors and very dull blades.

The diamond rod is a universal sharpener that can be used to sharpen knives with smooth and serrated blades. Thanks to its tapered shape, the rod’s thickness can be precisely matched to the blade’s serration. There is a groove at the base, intended for sharpening fishing hooks and hunting knives with a gut hook.

Using a V-shaped sharpener to sharpen a knife is simple and requires no experience or special technique. The user swipes the blade through the sharpening slot from base to tip until satisfactory sharpness is achieved. Tungsten carbide sharpeners can be used to sharpen knives and household scissors. Tungsten carbide removes metal quite quickly, so you shouldn’t apply too much pressure when sharpening, the tool’s weight combined with gentle swipes should suffice. Ceramic sharpeners with fine grit are used for quick sharpening and honing the cutting edge of the knife.
