A strong and exceptionally large opening HMS aluminium lock ring with Triplex Gate (push-turn-open) automatic locking. An extremely lightweight model suitable for rescue, climbing and especially for situations where large loads are involved. Gate opening 28 mm. Loading capacity over 50 mm wide, allowing several pieces of equipment or ropes to be installed at once, or a quick Munter knot for emergency evacuation or securing in case of rescue. With automatic locking, the gate cannot be forgotten without being locked, and is a good choice for conditions where the lock ring is opened and closed frequently. The shape helps to keep the lock ring loaded parallel to the main axis. The catch-free gate is smooth and prevents gear sticking (which occurs with a standard hook-free gate). Improved corrosion resistance by anodising. Breaking strength: longitudinal 28 kN, against the gate 12 kN, longitudinal gate open 10 kN. Weight: 85 g. External dimensions: 120 mm x 80 mm.
